Sho’t Left Easter Campaign – A Lifeline for Tourism

It’s been difficult for us all to watch as the global pandemic continues to debilitate the tourism industry.

As the tourism sector tries to get back on its feet, capitalising on any opportunity will be critical. In an effort to support the industry during these stressful times, South African Tourism (SAT) is inviting the South African travel trade to register on its Sho’t Left platform and load their deals for SAT’s upcoming Easter Campaign.

Support for local restaurants, tour guides and buying crafts from local entrepreneurs goes a long way in strengthening the economy and industry. However, this is only possible if people are well informed and are made aware of the array of local attractions. Sometimes, people don’t support local tourism activities because they don’t know they exist.

The idea behind this campaign is to encourage domestic travellers who are considering going away over Easter to travel in the province and support local tourism businesses who are struggling to stay open due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

SAT has developed a convenient travel platform (Sho’t Left – www.shotleft.co.za) to inspire people to travel more locally by showcasing a wide range of affordable and amazing deals on offer in South Africa.

As the tourism sector promotes  the country as a preferred leisure, business and events tourism destination, local tourism product owners need to ensure that the option to travel within our borders is as convenient and appealing as possible.

The ECPTA  echoes the request made by SAT and encourages you to register on the Sho’t Left platform and load your deals for the upcoming Easter Campaign. The link to register or login is https://deals.southafrica.net/za/en/account/login.
