ECPTA is excited about our new positioning of Yours to Explore which opens the door to visitors who want to relax and explore our beautiful province, as well as those seeking high adrenalin adventure activities.

The Eastern Cape’s revised tourism branding has made a move towards embracing all visitors to our province. We felt that the positioning of ‘Adventure Province’ was beginning to exclude the more relaxed, sedate traveller and we were losing out on potential visitors.

We have a reputation of being the Adventure Province and whilst we don’t want to lose this thrilling quality, we need to identify with travellers who are intimidated by majestic hiking trails, adrenalin induced sky diving or a night of star gazing.

The process of our brand revision coincided with our decision to align with brand South Africa, which was established to create a positive and compelling image for our country. We are therefore inspired by our new positioning and feel that we are fully embracing the national brand in terms of corporate identity, messaging, behaviours and values. Speaking with one voice will have strategic advantages in the highly competitive tourism trade.

ECPTA encourages all tourism products to use the destination brand logo as co-branding on all promotional material, i.e. banners, brochures, websites and social media. If you have printed material without the new logo, please include it on your digital platforms. We would love to see your product material and encourage you to send us samples. This will enable us to assist with marketing at tourism events.
