Day 1
Arrive in Rhodes and check in to your accommodation at Walkerbouts Inn. Settle in and enjoy a sundowner in the Thanksjalot Pub at Walkerbouts before dinner.

Day 2
Breakfast, where we cater for omnivores and vegetarians alike!
Head out for sight-seeing trips to a variety of options such as Naudesnek Pass, the Ben McDhui plateau from where the ski resort can be seen, and the “Loch Ness” dam, the highest self-sustaining wild trout fishery in RSA. The latter includes the Carlisleshoek Pass. Picnic on the plateau complete with lunch- packs included in the package.
Drive out to the Maartenshoek valley, a gem that is a mini-Golden Gate. For fly fishing enthusiasts, more than 200km of running water are within reach of the village.

Arrive in Barkly East. Stay at Royal Manor Hotel, where you will also have dinner.

Day 2
Enjoy your breakfast and then start walking towards Rhodes The first day’s walk is about 24km to the Farm Franshoek. Lunch will be supplied. Have dinner and spend the night at Franshoek Guest Farm. Your luggage will be transported and meet you at the end of each day at your new destination.

Day 3
Enjoy your breakfast and then start walking towards Rhodes. Day two’s walk is roughly 22km the Farm Steepside. Lunch is supplied and dinner and accommodation will be at Steepside Guest Farm.

Day 4
Enjoy your breakfast and then start walking towards Rhodes. It is about 20km to the village of Rhodes. Lunch is supplied. Accommodation and dinner at Rubicon Units and Restaurant.

Day 5
Enjoy breakfast and then the shuttle will transport you back to Barkly East to your vehicle.

Enjoy breakfast and head out to the wonderland of Battiss on your Wild Fly Fishing in the Karoo experience. Enjoy a picnic under the majesty of an indigenous forest.
Dinner with a whisky tasting, and overnight at the Angler and Antelope in Somerset East.

Day 3
Enjoy breakfast, and head home having recharged your batteries and soothed your soul!

Day 1
Arrive in Cradock and check in to your accommodation. If you are a thrill-seeker then head to Adrenalin Junkies and go on the Big Swing, play paintball, tube, raft, canoe or head off for a walk up one of the koppies surrounding Cradock, Oukop or Eerstekrans.
Enjoy a traditional Karoo dinner at the Albert Restaurant at Victoria Manor.

Day 2
Enjoy your breakfast and then head into the Mountain Zebra National Park for the day – start with cheetah tracking, then lunch in the park, a swim at the picnic spot and a slow game drive out of the park.
A great late afternoon activity will be to go on a Township Tour

Day 3
Enjoy breakfast and go on a self-guided tour of historic Lower Cradock. Alternatively head off to one of our fabulous neighbouring Karoo Towns.


The Kouga coastline is one of the highlights of the Eastern Cape. Plenty of surf, sand and entertainment can be explored in the surrounding towns of Jeffreys Bay and Cape St Francis. There is something for everyone in the family making this ideal for a short getaway!

Day 1
Once settled in your accommodation, enjoy a visit to the famous Jeffreys Bay Shell Museum for an interesting talk about local seashells, some collected from around the globe. Grab a coffee and light bite to eat at Tasty Table Café After lunch enjoy the Kabeljous beach walk and leave a stone or inspirational message at the Kabeljauws Rock Monument.
Thereafter return to your accommodation to get ready for dinner at one of the many local restaurants.

Day 2
Get an early start and explore Jeffreys Bay in a tuk tuk. Riksha Tours Jefferys Bay will collect you from your accommodation. Transfer to the surf village for a little retail therapy or book a kayak experience with All Africa Adventures.
Recharge with a visit to Infood Coffee Roastery where state-of-the-art, fully automated and solar roasters can blend, roast and grind in any size or type of package that you may require.
Enjoy lunch at a local eatery, then work it off with a nature hike in Kabeljous Nature Reserve on either a 3km or 6km trail. This is one of the few areas where renosterveld is still intact.
Dine at one of the many local restaurants.

Day 3
Breakfast at your guesthouse or local eatery. End off your stay with a self-drive through African Dawn Bird & Wildlife Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre. This is the largest aviary in the Eastern Cape with more than 250 species of birds.

Day 1
Check in at the Cape St Francis Resort. Enjoy a sunset cruise on the St Francis canals and a meal at the Joe Fish Restaurant.

Day 2
After breakfast, you will be transported to the Eskom Conservation Reserve for a 15km hike back to the resort. Enjoy a meal at the Full Stop Restaurant.

Day 3
After breakfast, hike 5.5km to Port St Francis where you will enjoy calamari tasting at Clive’s Chokka Block. Extend this experience with lunch before you hike back to the resort and depart.

Arrive in the St Francis Bay, check in to your accommodation. If you are a surfer you can grab your surfboard, or rent one in town and go checkout our famous surfing spots, like Bruces, Seals or Huletts beaches.
If not, Take a tour of Seal Point Lighthouse, situated at the south-easternmost tip of Africa, grab a coffee at the restaurant, take a walk on the wild side – remember your camera!
Enjoy a beer tasting at St Francis Brewing Company or if you prefer gin or rum, head to One33 Distillery and Cheesery for a great afternoon.
Have dinner at any of our great restaurants offering a variety of cuisine.

Day 2
Enjoy your breakfast at your accommodation or any of the coffee shops in town. Then head on to the canals for a stand-up paddle board adventure on a giant XL paddle board.
Entertain the little ones with a trip to Oyster Bay Lodge for lots of fun activities like beach horse rides, sandboarding and others.
A great afternoon activity could be the Two Harbours Walk, ending with a calamari tasting at Port St Francis or exploring on 2 wheels on the newly developed MTB route.
Enjoy a sunset cruise on the St Francis Canals with snacks and or drinks
End the day with dinner at any of our top restaurants.

Day 3
After breakfast enjoy a round of golf at any of the two top golf courses. If you are not a golfer, you can either book a deep-sea fishing excursion or a whale watching trip (in season) or stroll through the many small shops and boutiques, unique to St Francis.
Let the kids enjoy the tidal pool at Granny’s pool with an ice cream or drink from Bruce’s Café, or enjoy a family picnic at the Cove.


Welcome to the ‘City of Saints’ in the heart of the Frontier Country region. Makana formerly known as Grahamstown has a lot to offer for those looking to reconnect with nature and history and to just spend some quiet time enjoying a small town city feel or time out on a privately owned game reserve.

Day 1
Arrive in the Makana region and check in to your accommodation. Visit the Makana Tourism office on 63 High Street or visit for information on walking tours through the city to discover historical and architectural gems such as the Observatory Museum and the cathedral of St Michael and St George.
Later on in the day, you can take a drive into the township for lunch at the local taverns, tshisa nyamas and eating houses to get the complete and authentic experience of Makhanda.
To wrap up the day, enjoy sundowners at beautiful and trendy Major Fraser’s.
Dine at your accommodation establishment, but the night doesn’t end there! Pop into Graham Hotel’s Pothole and Donkey Restaurant and Cocktail Bar for tasty cocktails and live entertainment.

Day 2
Enjoy your breakfast and then take a drive to Riebeek East, a mere 39 km west of Makhanda, to visit this quaint village’s historic church. Get a guided tour from the caretaker of this historic church, Gavin Blamire, who is always happy to show guests around and explain its history and significance.
On your way back make a turn to Temba Private Game Reserve to visit the luxury farmhouse originally belonging to Piet Retief, 12km outside Makhanda. It is situated a game reserve ideal for bird watching, hiking, nature activities and game drives.
Wind down with a hike up to Mountain Drive, an 8 km dirt and gravel road and family friendly trail located or visit the astronomical toposcope on Gunfire Hill in front of the 1820 Settlers’ National Monument. It shows the cardinal points and positions for the rising of certain constellations. This is wheelchair accessible and braai facilities are available.
Alternatively, visit the Manley Flats Community Trails for a day of nature walks, trail running and cycling. The trails are open every day throughout the year. All income derived from the Manley Flats Community Trails are directed to their local community.
For sundowners, visit the Belmont Golf Club, one of the most scenic spots just 7km out of Makhanda with the most awesome views.

Day 3
Enjoy breakfast and then travel with your NMB Pass to exciting activities! Choose from guided Segway or fat wheel scooter tours along the beach or through the forest park routes, all offered by Wildx.
If horse riding is more your speed Heavenly Stables provides a 1-hour trail ride or 2-2.5 hour beach rides through Sardinia Bay Nature Reserve onto the beach and back.

Day 1
Arrive in Nelson Mandela Bay and check in to your chosen accommodation. Take a drive along the coastline and bask in the beautiful blue flag beaches of the Bay. Carry on to the point of Cape Recife Nature Reserve to snap some pics at the famous lighthouse, the third oldest in South Africa! Day 3
After breakfast head to a tour of Route 67, a collection of 67 public artworks by local artists symbolising Nelson Mandela’s 67 years dedicated to South Africa’s freedom. Start your tour at the newly renovated Campanile. The Campanile contains the largest carillon of bells in the country in addition to its chiming clock.
