The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA’s) Game Management and Recreation cluster held a teambuilding session for its employees on the 20th of October 2023 at Tsolwana Nature Reserve.
The purpose of the teambuilding session was to ensure that staff members from this cluster understand the role they play in the success of the Agency, to increase trust, improve communication and forge stronger bonds among employees.
The ECPTA organized a range of activities and challenges that encouraged teamwork and communication among its staff members. Each activity was designed to push participants out of their comfort zones and promote collaboration in a natural and relaxed environment.
ECPTA Game Management and Recreation cluster Manager, Mzwabantu Kostauli said this year’s team building was celebrated under the theme “stronger together” to build trust, ease conflict, encourage communication, and increase collaboration amongst employees.
“We’re here to allow an opportunity to pause from their daily work duties, relax and refresh. Also, to encourage collaborations rather than competition, motivate employees to work together, to develop their strengths, address any weaknesses and boosts staff morale,” said Kostauli.
Mpofu Nature Reserve Senior Field Ranger, Babalwa Dibela said one of his primary takeaways from this team-building event was the importance of clear communication and cooperation. It emphasized that working together and supporting each other is essential in achieving common goals and overcoming challenges.
“This event was great for us, it was a transformative experience that reinforced the importance of unity, teamwork to achieve our goals.
