The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) supported the 2nd Annual Jobs and Careers Expo, which took place in early April 2025 at the Nelson Mandela Museum, located in the Bhunga Building in Mthatha. The event was hosted in partnership with Imbizo Events, the Nelson Mandela Museum, Eastern Cape Tourism, SAICA (The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants), Mpuma Kapa TV, the Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDOE), Armscor Global Defence, Inc., and the South African International Maritime Institute.
The Expo aimed to connect job seekers, learners, and young professionals with potential employers, training institutions, and career development opportunities across various sectors.
During the event, the ECPTA showcased career opportunities within the tourism and conservation industries, with a particular emphasis on biodiversity initiatives along the province’s iconic Wild Coast. The Agency utilised this platform to inspire and encourage young people to take an active interest in protecting the Eastern Cape’s natural resources, while also highlighting the role of sustainable tourism in economic development.
