
The Cape Morgan section of the East London Coast Nature Reserve welcomed seventy participants for an 8.9 km collaborative hike on 21 November 2025. The initiative forms part of efforts to promote tourism in the Kei Mouth area and evaluate the reserve’s trail for future revenue generating opportunities.
The route included the historic Inspection Quarters, Morgan Bay beach, the Cape Morgan lighthouse, Freshwater Point and Whispering Wave. The hike showcased the natural and cultural value of the reserve and strengthened collaboration between local municipalities and ECPTA.
