Cypress Cottage

Both cottages are of beautiful early 1800s Cape Dutch style and are understatedly decorated with a highly developed sense of taste for the natural and comfortable. The bedrooms display high reed ceilings, solid pine and slate floors, antique chests, fresh flowers and freestanding baths. Each room comprises of an en-suite bathroom, TV with DSTV, air-conditioning, wall heaters, ceiling fans, hairdryers and Wi-Fi. A laundry service and secure, off-road parking is also provided for our guests as well as and honesty bar within each guesthouse. We dont permit smoking in our cottages; we do however have beautiful gardens where smokers are more than welcome. This child-friendly environment, with large lawns, swings, dollhouses and ducks to feed offer not only a getaway for families, but also an opportunity to relax and refresh. Our gardens are often visited by many bird species as we promote this with bird feeds. One can escape the heat by splashing in the bore-hole-fed reservoir that has been converted into a swimming pool. The main garden is an extraordinary feature of will and clever engineering desert transformed into an oasis of lush vegetation despite the difficulties of brackish water. Unwind in the gardens in the evening and enjoy the view of Spandau Kop with the sun setting right in front of you. Between the two cottages, we offer six Rooms. These consist of double bedrooms, twin bedrooms and a family room with a private entrance. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in each house. A freshly made and perfectly wholesome breakfast is laid out in the mornings on the terraces or inside the dining area depending on the guests preference. Free-range eggs from the house chickens, succulent figs, peaches, prunes and apricots straight from the orchard are the main feature to this event.
