The building, with its whitewashed walls and towering gables, was built circa 1806. it has the distinctive Cape Dutch H-shape design which it shares, in Graaff-Reinet, only with Reinet House. Almost all of the outbuildings used over the years such as the forge, coach house and blacksmiths shop are still intact and have been renovated and converted into a guest house of note. ACCOMMODATION De Erf Manor House currently offers two luxury en-suite double rooms with private entrances. Lianne and Fabian take pride in providing only the best in linen and antique furniture. Amongst other things these rooms have DSTV (Cable), air conditioning, huge fans and mosquito nets. A fruit bowl and sherry await you upon your arrival. In addition, almost anything is possible on request. There is aside from the little farm things, a swimming pool, where you can cool off on those hot Karoo afternoons. You can even have a braai (BBQ) in the entertainment area next to the pool.
