Learn to Surf at Shaka Surf School

Shaka Surf School and surf camp is a family-owned business run by multiple South African longboard champion surfers David Macgregor and his sons Cuan and Kye. Based in Port Alfred, Shaka Surf School also operates in Kenton during holiday seasons.

Three Valleys Proteas and Wildlife Sanctuary

Three Valleys Farm is situated halfway between Bathurst and Grahamstown/Makhanda. It is one of the original Settler allocations and has been farmed for over 180 years. Over the years the pineapples gave way to proteas, pastures were planted, and giraffe were introduced to the property. The Three Valleys Wildlife and Nature Reserve was created in 2015.

Quad Bike Safari

Enjoy a one-hour adventure experience from Mild to Wild in at Areena Private Game Reserve. Qualified guides will teach you how to drive the semi-automatic quad bikes and take you on a guided game drive through the rugged valley bushveld of Areena. The speed of the quad-bike game drive is much like that of a vehicle-driven game drive, you will drive at a steady pace that will enable you to take in the scenery and see as many game animal species as possible. You are likely to get closer to South Africa’s wildlife than if you were on foot, or even in a vehicle! If you are lucky, you might meet Abby, the now-famous friendly giraffe, who might just give you a whiskery nuzzle! Anyone over the age of 16 can ride their own quad, while the younger folk are welcome to be a passenger.

AmaZing Zing Zipline

Experience the thrill of adventure, a taste of adrenaline and the views of beautiful river gorge scenery, while enjoying zip lining through the trees and rocky terrain of our Bushveld Valley! The AmaZing Zing Zip line Tour has a total of 10x zip lines that make up the complete 2-hour tour. The longest zip line is 153m and the highest zip line is 70m. This fun, thrilling and adrenaline pumping two-hour adventure zip line will stay with you for a lifetime. The tour takes place within the Areena Private Game Reserve, near the abseil krantz, overlooking the beautiful Kwelera River, Leopard Kloof and Areena Valley. Whale & Dolphin Watching – Cape St Francis

Join us on a cruise up the coast taking in the beauty of the scenic reserve, sand dunes and beaches along the way. June through to November we experience a high success rate providing close encounters with Southern Right and Humpback Whales who visit our waters on their annual migration south. They can be seen putting on a spectacular show swimming with the numerous pods of dolphin who reside in the waters around Cape St Francis year-round along with penguins, seals and a variety of other bird and marine life. Your experienced skipper will provide you with interesting facts about the Marine life encountered and lots of local history. Trips are 1.5 to 2 hours in length (depending how far we travel to the whales) and can be enjoyed by anyone keen on an outstanding marine experience.

Kayak and Lilo adventure

This unique award-winning adventure is in the beautiful Storms River Mouth, Tsitsikamma. Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour

Enjoy being suspended 30m above the forest floor on the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, cable sliding from ten platforms, tree to tree while discovering the spectacular and unique wilderness of the Tsitsikamma Indigenous Forest. Surrounded by birdlife and giant trees one can easily feel like a dwarf standing amongst them.  Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours will be offering 50% off for kids between the ages of  5 – 17 years between May and June 2023.
