Inkwenkwezi is situated in the malaria free Eastern Cape of South Africa. The reserve is situated within an area of one hundred square kilometres encompassing five different biomes (vegetation types) which offer varied game viewing. It is one of the few reserves with a tidal estuary. The
Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve is situated in the malaria free Eastern Cape, only a 30-minute drive from East London at the start of the Wild Coast. Here one can view four of the magnificent Big Five or the other animals housed within the boundaries of the reserve. Inkwenkwezi is a rare exquisite combination of bushveld, grasslands and forests, with an area encompassing 4500 hectares.
Our reserve boasts a Bush Camp, consisting of six two-person lavish en-suite safari tents. The Valley Camp offers 12 guests accommodation in six custom designed luxury tents, which emphasize space and quality. Guests of both the Bush Camp and the Valley Camp have tea and coffee making facilities in the tents.
Visitors to Inkwenkwezi are given the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities, including game drives, bird watching including the rarely sighted Stanley Bustard as well as Knysna Turaco and Kingfisher to mention only a few of the 276 bird species that have been recorded here, all in the company of a trained guide, who has the knowledge and passion for the African Bush. Alternatively enjoy relaxing around the pool.
The reserve overlooks the Indian Ocean, which presents opportunities for Whale and Dolphin viewing. Pay a visit to the brilliant beaches and go surfing, windsurfing and fishing or catch a helicopter ride up the Wild Coast and take in a game of golf on one of the area’s numerous golf courses.
