Stay in a cosy self-catering cottage on our family pineapple farm 10km from Bathurst. We are situated 30km from Grahamstown just off the Route67 to Port Alfred. (Or 28km from Port Alfred on the R67 to Grahamstown.) Accommodation for 4 is in a bright, studio style, flat in friendly and peaceful surroundings. Graded Recommended(2 pineapples) by Grahamstown Hospitality Guild. Local tourism grading authority using the pineapple grading system based on the star grading of SATourism. It has a modern, well equipped kitchen section with a toaster, kettle, 2 plate stove and microwave and sink with hot and cold running water. The sitting area is between two double bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other has twin beds, sharing a shower and toilet. Heaters and electric blankets for the chilly winter nights during Festival. There is also a colour TV. Bedding and towels are supplied. (Please bring your own swimming towels) It is separate and private from the main house. Stay self-catering or have a self serve continental breakfast. Braai wood is available. You may go for walks in the garden and see the chickens, turkeys and geese. Swimming pool and tennis court on site. Experience a real farm life. Venture further among the pineapple fields or bush veld. Learn how pineapples grow. We strive to make our guests feel welcome and at home. We are ideally situated for visitors to the Grahamstown festival who also want a peaceful nights sleep after a busy day at shows and stalls. We also often have parents of Rhodes students either starting out or returning from holidays or for Graduation. An ideal stopover for travelers from Durban to Cape Town. We are also only a 30 min. drive to Port Alfred and the pristine beaches of the sunshine Coast. Beach rides nearby can be arranged on request.
