Naniqua Jewellery Project

The project provides unemployed beneficiaries from the local Khoisan community with an opportunity to manufacture indigenous jewellery linked to the KhoiSan culture, an art form that is being reintroduced to the Kouga region as part of the Department Arts& Cultures Investment In Culture (IIC) program. Ancient jewellery items and accessories are being reproduced with modern techniques as part of the program, but the beneficiaries also manufacture contemporary jewellery.
