Sangweni Lodge B&B & Conference

The lodge is about 2kms from the University of Fort Hare, 3kms from the famous Victoria Hospital, established in 1898 during Queen Victorias golden jubilee. Cecilia Makiwane was the first black woman to be registered as a nurse in Africa with the Medical and Dental Council worked for this hospital. Her statue placed in the grounds of the hospital. Sangweni Lodge was founded from humble beginings in 1998 with just two rooms accommodation and guests sharing. To date it prides itslef with six rooms accomodating 10 people sharing and one single.
