The Thatch Guesthouse

The Thatch is a new purpose-built establishment offering a high level of accommodation with the accent on cleanliness and comfort. Building was completed in July 2001 and the first guest was greeted in September of the same year. The dining room and lounge are situated under thatch with panoramic views of the Quinera Mouth, Indian Ocean and the surrounding indigenous and sub-tropical flora. Naturally cool in summer, and with heaters in all of the rooms to keep the chill away in the winter, the well-appointed bedrooms offer sea-views, en-suite accommodation with baths and showers, comfortable seating, tea and coffee making facilities, bar-fridges, telephones and individual televisions with m-net and satellite availability.. Situated close to local amenities and an easy 10 minutes from the East London city centre and 20 minutes from the airport, the Thatch is well placed to provide for all needs. Also available to guests are the sundowner deck and swimming pool, secure off-street parking, the beautiful Bonza Beach and Quinera lagoon within walking distance, and sporting and leisure activities readily accessible in the area. The Thatch is not suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs.
