Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) as the appointed management authority for the Amathole Marine Protected Area and the Amathole Offshore Marine Protected Area, together with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, is in the process of formulating the MPA Advisory Forum. As part of the process, the ECPTA would like to invite community representatives/leaders, Non-governmental Organisations, Municipalities, Government Agencies, Fisheries groups, Fishing Co-operatives and any other stakeholder groups to nominate two representatives per organisation to serve on the MPA Advisory Forum.
The nomination period will be from the 10th of March 2022 to the 30th of April 2022. The nomination forms can be found below, at any of the East London Coast Nature Reserve Offices and also on request from Mrs Ayaka Peter (071Â 476 4418; Ayaka.peter@ecpta.co.za).
Completed nomination form must be submitted by hand at any of the ECPTA offices or by electronic mail to Mrs Ayaka Peter. This notice is issued in accordance with section 10, National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act: Regulations: Proper Administration of Nature Reserves.
