Supporting small businesses remains a critical component of tourism development in the Eastern Cape.
In March 2026, ECPTA participated in a business workshop hosted by the Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT) in Kareedouw.
The workshop focused on equipping local entrepreneurs with knowledge on business registration, compliance, and opportunities within the tourism sector.
Through initiatives such as these, ECPTA continues to support the growth of emerging tourism enterprises and ensure that local communities benefit meaningfully from tourism opportunities.
