At Meetings Africa 2024, held in Johannesburg from February 27-28, ECPTA showcased the Eastern Cape’s prowess in hosting MICE events. This strategic engagement aimed to position the province as a versatile destination for various business events, from intimate retreats to grand conferences.
Zukiswa Ntwasa, ECPTA’s Business Events and Leisure Manager, elaborated on the significance of Meetings Africa as a platform for promoting the Eastern Cape’s MICE capabilities. The event enabled ECPTA to support local SMMEs and established venues, fostering growth in the region’s tourism sector and highlighting its commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism practices.
Through this participation, ECPTA showcased the Eastern Cape’s attractions and demonstrated its role in driving economic development and promoting the province as a key player in the global MICE industry.
