INSIDE OUR PEOPLE

Festive Season Reflections from the ECPTA Family

As we approach the end of the year, we pause to acknowledge the resilience, teamwork and heart that have carried ECPTA through one of the most demanding periods in recent memory. Every department, every ranger out in the field, every colleague supporting operations from our offices, and every team member working quietly behind the scenes has played a part in keeping our mandate moving.

This year challenged us in new ways and asked a lot from each of us. Yet throughout the uncertainty, there were moments that revealed our strength as an organisation. The festive season offers a chance to slow down, take a breath and honour the journey we have walked together.

Colleagues reflected on how this year has shaped them and what they wish for the ECPTA family as we look ahead to 2026.

Sinazo Sigwabe shared that this year reminded us of how much we can handle even when the odds feel overwhelming. She encouraged staff to take time to rest, regroup and step into the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and hope.

Naledi Phike expressed gratitude for the unity and adaptability shown across the organisation. She reminded staff that rest is not a luxury but a necessity, and that the holidays are a chance to reconnect with the people and experiences that bring joy and meaning to our lives.

For Luthando Radasi, the end of the year is a time to celebrate small wins, appreciate one another and step into the future with confidence. He wished all colleagues a restful break and a bright start to the year ahead.

Sinazo Rafu reflected on the importance of self-compassion, especially in a year marked by transition and change. She encouraged staff to be gentle with themselves, embrace learning and return from the holidays with clarity and renewed energy.

Together, these reflections capture the spirit of an organisation that continues to grow, adapt and stand strong. As ECPTA moves into a new year, we do so with gratitude for our people and the shared commitment that keeps our mandate alive.

Wishing every member of the ECPTA family a peaceful, restorative and meaningful festive season.
