The 2024 St Francis Calamari Festival has expanded to a full week of festivities from 20 to 28 September. Known for its strong connection to Chokka (calamari), the event will feature live music, art expos, whale-watching safaris, dune walks, and family fishing, alongside the annual Calamari Classic golf and bowls tournaments.
A key highlight will be the launch of the Calamari Route on 21 September, with 14 local restaurants offering calamari dishes year-round. The route includes the Chokka Trail, a 62km hiking experience, and the “Get Inked” calamari boat trip and tasting.
Dionne Collett, Chairperson of St Francis Tourism, said, “St Francis maintains its village charm, with attractions like the Seal Point Lighthouse and two top golf courses, making it a sought-after destination.”
