68/16/17- DEVELOP ENVIRONMENTAL & EDUCATION MATERIALS FOR HLULEKA, SILAKA, MKHAMBATHI & DWESA-CWEBE

The Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency is seeking the services of a service provider to submit proposals for THE APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO DEVELOP  ENVIRONMENTAL AND EDUCATION MATERIALS FOR HLULEKA, SILAKA, MKHAMBATHI AND DWESA-CWEBE NATURE RESERVES FOR EASTERN CAPE PARKS AND TOURISM AGENCY

Mini bid documents outlining detailed specifications will be made available from Wednesday, 09 November 2016 free of charge and closing on Wednesday 16 November at 11h00 am. The documents can only be e-mailed to applicants upon request or downloaded on the website

The successful service provider will be required to develop Environmental and Education Materials which include the following:

•           History  and the significance of the 4 Reserves

•           Reserve annotated  maps to guide visitors

•           Vegetation types and species found in the Reserves

•           Environmental themes to  be covered

•           Environmental challenges and mitigating factors

•           Categorize information  for brochures, banners and display in the Reserves with pictures 

•           Report to the  project manager and marketing department fortnightly for verification of materials

•           Visit the Nature Reserves

•           Consult with relevant ECPTA officials, stakeholders and Community representative structures.

•           Produce print ready materials with pictures (No Printing)

•           The duration of the project is two months from the appointment date.

Evaluation Criteria

Points will be awarded in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, Act No. 5 of 2000 and its regulations of 2011 as follows:

A two stage evaluation process will be employed. In Stage 1 all quotes received will be evaluated for functionality. Only service providers who meet the minimum criteria of 60 points on functionality will proceed to stage 2 where quotes will be assessed for Price and B-BBEE Status Level in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Regulation of 2011.

STAGE 1

NB: Only bidders who obtain a minimum score of 60 points and above for functionality (stage 1 evaluation) will qualify for evaluation in stage 2 and points for stage 1 will not be considered for evaluation in stage 2.
