BID NO.14/FY15 – EXTERNAL CULLING FOR THE EASTERN CAPE PARKS & TOURISM AGENCY

Bidders are expected to cull all animals tendered for. The service provider will have to pay for all animals as per price offered agreed upon in the SLA, unless it can be proven that ECPTA was the cause of the delay.

 Culling is to be conduct in an efficient and professional manner and bidders will be expected to:

  • Complete the cull within the specified time frames and with minimum disruption and disturbance to other game, visitors and reserve management.
  • Provide all the necessary equipment and suitably experienced staff.
  • Acquire the necessary transport permits, veterinary permits and any other documentation which may be required.
  • Make payment within 30 days of the conclusion of the culling operations.

Bid documents will be made available on Friday the 18th July 2014 upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of R350.00. These documents can be obtained from the offices of the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, 6 St Marks Road, Southernwood, East London, or can be e-mailed to applicants upon request. Payment can be made in cash, on collection of the bid documents or by electronic transfer to the following account: “Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, Nedbank, Branch Number-126317, Account Number -1021541737” Bidders who pay by electronic transfer must use the bid number as a reference number and fax proof of payment to 086 619 9292 prior to the collection of the bid documents. Bidders wishing to tender for both of the above will need to pay, collect and submit two separate sets of documentation.

Completed bid documents accompanied by all of the necessary documentation are to be placed in a sealed envelope with the bid name and number (as given above) clearly written on the envelope. All bids must be deposited in the bid box, at the offices of the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency , 6 St Marks Road, Southernwood, East London, 5200, by not later than 11h00 on the 08 August 2014, at which time the bids will be opened in public.

Bidders must provide sufficient proof/documents to justify awarding the above points, and such proof should include details of contactable references to Evaluation Criteria 1 (Stage 1) above.

NB: Bidders who obtain 70 points and above  out of 100 for functionality (Stage 1) will qualify for evaluation in terms of price  and B-BBEE Status in stage 2. All points scored by qualifying bidders in stage 1 will not be taken into consideration in stage 2.

BIDDERS SHALL TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING BID CONDITIONS:

 

  • The Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency Supply Chain Management Policy will apply;
  • Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency does not bind itself to accept the highest bid or any other bid and reserves the right to accept the whole or part of the bid;
  • Bids which are late, incomplete, unsigned or submitted by facsimile or electronically, will not be accepted;

The following documents must be submitted with the tender document:

  • An original and valid SARS certificate
  • Cipro certificate / shareholder’s certificate showing ownership details of the Company
  • B-BBEE Verification Certificate

NB: Bids submitted are to hold good for a period of 90 days after the closing date.
