Tender No. 03/FY/18 – Upgrade of Point Cottage at Mkhambathi Nature Reserve

ECPTA hereby invites bids for the upgrade of Point Cottage at Mkhambathi Nature Reserve. It is estimated that tenderers should have CIDB contractor grading of 2GB & 2GB PE only. Tenderers with CIDB contractor grading of 3GB or higher will NOT be considered.

A compulsory site briefing meeting with representatives of the employer will take place at Mkhambathi Nature Reserve on 10 May 2017 at 11h00am. Failure to attend the compulsory site briefing meeting will result in immediate rejection of the bid.

Bidders must obtain a minimum score of 65 points on functionality in order to be considered for evaluation at Stage 2.

Tender documents will be available from the 28 April 2017 upon payment of a Non-refundable fee of R100.00 per document. The documents can be obtained from the offices of Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency, situated at No.17-25 Oxford Street, Corner of Fleet and Oxford Street, East London CBD (Contact Tel No. 043 705 4400) from 08h00 am to 16h30, or by electronic transfer to the following account: “Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency, Nedbank, Branch Number – 126317, Account Number – 1021541737.” Bidders who pay by electronic transfer must use the Bid Number as a reference i.e. TENDER NO. 03/FY/18 and fax proof of payment to 086 208 0595 prior to the collection of the bid documents.

Sealed Tenders endorsed on the envelope with the Tenderer’s name and the Contract Number shall be deposited in the formal Tender Box situated in the ECPTA offices at 17-25 Oxford Street, Corner of Fleet and Oxford Street, East London CBD, East London or posted so as to reach The Chief Executive Officer, P.O. Box 11235, Southernwood, East London, 5213 in sufficient time for it to be placed in the Tender Box before the closing time of 11h00 on the closing date i.e. 19 May 2017.

It must be expressly understood that the Agency disclaims any responsibility for seeing that Tenders sent by post or delivered in any other way to ECPTA, are lodged in the Tender Box. It is accordingly preferable for the Tenderer to personally ensure that the Tender is placed in the Tender Box by the Tenderer’s own staff, or where appropriate, a courier appointed by the Tenderer. Tenders will be opened in public at 11:00 on the closing date listed above, in the Main Boardroom of ECPTA, No. 17-25 Oxford Street, Corner of Fleet and Oxford Street, East London CBD

  • The Agency reserves the right not to accept the only or lowest tender or any tender at all, or to accept the whole or part of any Tender.
  • Service providers must be registered with the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • Canvassing with ECPTA officials shall disqualify a Tender.
  • Late, incomplete or unsigned Tenders will not be considered.
  • The standard tender conditions will apply.
  • The Agency reserves the right to extend the Tender Period and/or alter Conditions of Tender during the Tender Period at its own discretion by notice published in the appropriate media and to all parties who have drawn documents.
  • The invitation and award of this Tender is subject to the requirements of the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency Procurement Policy.
