Wacky Waterpark, located in the Marina Martinique, Jeffreys Bay is a great family destination for some fun in the sun.  Wacky Waterpark offers a full range of activities for young and old in one convenient location. So if it’s family fun, a birthday party, corporate team building or a school or sport group they cater for you. The Floating Wipeout Zone and Floating Obstacle Course will be in operation as well as the 55m Tube Slide into the Marina.  Other activities in the park includes, swimming area in Marina, splash pool with mini slides, splash pad, junior warrior course, sand pit, disc golf, volleyball, paintball and target shooting.

4. Jeffreys Bay horse-riding (Kouga)

Come and enjoy an adventurous horse riding experience where experienced guides escort riders twice daily along the 13km circular route in the vicinity of Jeffreys Bay. The trail takes about 2 hours to complete, leading through beautiful fynbos, coastal vegetation and returning along a 6 km stretch of deserted beach. There are also several experiences and services for your convenience and entertainment including horse trails, riding lessons, special needs and disabled riding lessons, parties, events as well as opportunities to volunteer and work with horses.

5. Shell Museum (Kouga)

A visit to the Shell Museum in Jeffreys Bay is a lovely way to spend some time with family and friends.  The Jeffreys Bay Shell Museum boasts the biggest collection of shells in the entire country! The Museum is open at 10:00 – 15:00 each day of the week.

6. Kromme River Day Trip / Cape St Francis (Kouga)

The trip starts at the small craft harbour of St Francis Bay. On your way you are likely to spot a variety of buck species as well as the ever-present fish eagle. Once at the farm, enjoy a walk through the fynbos, canoe, SUP, view the wildlife or simply enjoy the sights and sounds of the river whilst basking in the sun. Your late afternoon lunch takes the form of a traditional South African braai (BBQ) with all the trimmings. Rates at R850.  

7. Calamari Tasting - Port St Francis(Kouga)

Whether you are a foodie or not, the unique Calamari Tasting is a must on any itinerary. Port St Francis is the only privately owned working harbour in South Africa and home to the squid (ink fish) industry. Over 60 freezing vessels come and go for 8 months of the year, leaving for up to 21 days with crews of between 14 and 26 to find what is known locally as chokka. Come and visit and combine a beach walk with a calamari tasting where you will hear about the sustainability of the industry, the method of catching and seeing the raw product and then tasting it all freshly prepared. It showcases not only the difference between the local and imported calamari but also the elements of the fish. 11. The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary (Tsitsikamma Region)

The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary is the oldest safe-haven for wolves and high-content wolf dogs in South Africa, established in 2001. The Sanctuary was created to drive public awareness and education surrounding wolfdogs and wolves in South Africa. We welcome visitors to come and experience our wolves in person to learn about their unique nature, how we can reduce backyard breeding of these animals and the connected importance of wolf conservation. Our Sanctuary is in the heart of the Tsitsikamma next to the Elandsriver and has just under 30 resident wolves and wolfdogs under our care. Our future goal is to become a resource for education against wolf and wolfdog breeding in South Africa. 

12. Whale/Dolphin/Penguin island cruise (Sunshine Coast)

 Visit St Croix Island and Brenton Islands. St. Croix Island is home to about 10,000 African Penguins (we have lost 80% in 10 years). Guests will get a close-up encounter with these comical birds. 15. Amatola Hiking Trail (Amathole Region)

The Amatola Trail is widely regarded as the toughest and best hiking trail in South Africa. It is a 6-day and 5-night hike starting at Maden Dam near King William’s Town (Qonce), traversing the incredible Amatola Mountains and ending in the iconic village of Hogsback. The Amatola Trail is truly amazing and very strenuous so one needs to be prepared, however the views, remoteness, pristine indigenous forest and endless waterfalls make it a true bucket-lister. You must be fit and capable of hiking 20km+/10 hours a day, never knowing what Mother Nature might throw at you!
