Eastern Cape’s Diverse Offerings Shine at ITB Germany

The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) marked a significant presence at the world-renowned travel trade show, ITB Germany, from March 5-7, 2024. This participation is a cornerstone of ECPTA’s strategy to introduce the Eastern Cape’s myriad attractions to an international audience, emphasising the region’s natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and unique tourism experiences.

At ITB Germany, one of the top three global travel exhibitions, ECPTA, leveraging the South African Tourism platform, unveiled the Eastern Cape’s offerings in the ‘Africa’ Hall, captivating attendees with its distinctive experiences. Susan Wilson, ECPTA’s Experiential Marketing Manager, highlighted the strategic importance of the event, noting how it serves as an invaluable networking hub for tourism professionals worldwide.

ECPTA aimed to attract global travellers and support local tourism stakeholders by emphasising the Eastern Cape’s unique selling points. The participation in ITB Germany underscores ECPTA’s commitment to fostering sustainable tourism growth and showcasing the province as a top-tier global destination.
