Tender No. 12/FY/17 – Sale of animal skins & horn from the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency

The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA), established and mandated in terms of the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency Act (2 of 2010), is responsible for the management of the Eastern Cape Provincial Parks.In order to achieve its management objectives, the Agency is seeking to sell animal skins and horns that have been identified for sale in 2016. The Agency therefore invites prospective buyers to submit bids for the sale of animal skins and horns as detailed in the table below.BID CONDITIONS

·        All animal skins and horns are sold “voetstoots”

·        Bidders may bid for one or more animal skins and horns and the highest bid received will be accepted;

·        All animal skins and horns will be sold to the highest bid and be ranked from the highest to the lowest         bid.

·        All animal skins and horns may be viewed prior to bidding, subject to arrangements being made with         the respective reserve managers.

·        Animal skins and horns may be collected as soon as payment has been received.

·        Buyers are required to make their own arrangement for transport for the collection of animal skins              and horns.

·        All persons entering ECPTA property for viewing of animal skins and horns do so at their own risk.

 

Bid documents will be made available on Tuesday, 06 September 2016 free of charge. These documents can be obtained from the offices of the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, 6 St Marks Road, Southernwood, East London, or can be e-mailed to applicants upon request. Payment can be made in cash, on collection of the bid documents or by electronic transfer to the following account: “Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, Nedbank, Branch Number-126317, Account Number -1021541737” Bidders who pay by electronic transfer must use the bid number as a reference number and fax proof of payment to 086 6185 444 prior to the collection of the bid documents.

Completed bid documents accompanied by all of the necessary documentation are to be placed in a sealed envelope with the bid name and number (as given above) clearly written on the envelope. All bids must be deposited in the bid box, at the offices of the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, 6 St Marks Road, Southernwood, East London, 5200, by not later than 11h00 on Tuesday, 27 September 2016, at which time the bids will be opened in public.
