POSITION : SENIOR MAINTENANCE OFFICER: 2 YEARS 7 MONTHS FIXED TERM
CENTRE : GREAT FISH RIVER NATURE RESERVE
BAND : C LOWER
Purpose
•
To co-ordinate the implementation of subsidiary plans for infrastructure and equipment maintenance within Great Fish River Nature Reserve.
Requirements
•
Grade 12 plus N3 certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering.
•
Trade test certificate in one or more of the appropriate fields (mechanical, electrical, or plumbing).
•
A minimum of 5 (five) years relevant work experience
•
Computer literate
•
Driver Licence Code 8
Key Performance Areas
•
General Maintenance: Undertake basic repairs and maintenance to roads, fences, vehicles, pumps, generators, miscellaneous equipment, visitor and management facilities.
•
Supervision of Maintenance Team: Oversight and manage the reserves maintenance team
•
Manage Workshops: Setup and manage the Park workshop and its operations.
•
Procurement: Facilitate general maintenance related procurements.
•
Infrastructure Projects: Interface and collaborate with the ECPTA project Management Unit on special projects that are contracted out.
•
Regulations: Ensure that all maintenance work is done in accordance with applicable regulations
•
Compliance: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Requirements (Construction Regulations), and where applicable Environmental Management Plans (ECPTA EMPr).
